Egypt star Amr Warda has been thrown out of their Africa Cup of Nations squad amid allegations of sexual harassment towards a string of women.

Warda, a teammate of Liverpool ace Mo Salah, came on as substitute in the host nation’s opening game victory over Zimbabwe last week.

A-League transfer news: Erick Mombaerts named new Melbourne City head coach, manager, team news

Erick Mombaerts has been appointed as the new coach of A-League side Melbourne City.

The 64-year-old Frenchman, who has coached Paris Saint Germain, Toulouse, Guingamp and Le Havre in his country as well as France’s Under-18 and Under-21 sides, joins the club on a three-year deal.

Mombaerts also spent three seasons in Japan including with Yokohama F. Marinos, stepping down from the role in January 2018.
