SUAREZ LINKED TO REDS RETURN
Former Liverpool star Luis Suarez has been linked with a return to Merseyside, seven years after he left the club for Camp Nou.
Spanish outlet Todofichajes reports he has a ‘difficult relationship’ with Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone, and the 34-year-old is apparently struggling with the high-pressing style – suffering an muscle injury in training last week.
The Uruguay superstar has another season remaining on his deal in Madrid, where he has bagged 19 goals this season to help Atleti sit top of La Liga, but reportedly has a contract clause allowing him to exit without penalty.
That could see him quit the club at the end of the season, with Todofichajes reporting Liverpool have sounded him out over a stunning return to Anfield.
David Beckham’s Inter Miami is a more likely destination.
KANE COULD DEMAND SPURS EXIT
If Spurs miss out on the top four – and therefore the Champions League – Harry Kane could be on his way out of Tottenham.
It has been widely reported (first by The Athletic) that Kane – soon to turn 28 – is concerned about Spurs’ lack of competitiveness, and could demand an exit.
However, he is said to be waiting until after he captains England at the Euros to decide his future.
But with a contract running until June 2024, that would require some co-operation from the club. Manchester City and Manchester United have been strongly linked with the player, while it has been reported by TF1 that his former coach Mauricio Pochettino has held talks with Kane over a move to Pochettino’s new club Paris Saint-Germain. If PSG lose Kylian Mbappe – with Real Madrid the most likely destination – the Parisians would almost certainly chase Kane as their top priority.
Kane has repeatedly affirmed his love for Spurs, but has made no secret of his ambitions to win trophies – something the club hasn’t done in 13 years.

Roy Keane told Sky Sports: “He must be getting frustrated.
“If they can’t get into the Champions League, and obviously they are not competing at the top end of the league, then it is only natural from a selfish point of view that Harry Kane would have to look at his options – and he would have some great options because he is a world-class striker and there aren’t many out there.
“ … Kane must be looking at this Manchester United team and thinking ‘I could be the top man up front for Man United’. Kane must fancy a United move. I think Kane fancies United.
“Man United have closed the gap to City and Kane would be a huge step.”
Spurs currently sit seventh in the league, six points off fourth-place West Ham. But they have another chance of silverware this campaign, taking on Man City in the EFL Cup final in a fortnight.
SOLSKJAER DESPERATE TO KEEP CAVANI
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hailed Edinson Cavani’s performance in Manchester United’s 3-1 win over Tottenham and hopes he can persuade the striker to stay when his contract is up at the end of the season.
The 34-year-old Uruguayan scored United’s second goal with an excellent diving header in Sunday’s come-from-behind victory and had an earlier effort controversially ruled out.
Cavani arrived at Old Trafford as a free agent last October on a deal until the end of the campaign, with the option of a further year.
Unlike most extension clauses, it has to be agreed by both parties before it can be triggered and there is speculation that Cavani could move to Argentine giants Boca Juniors.
“Fantastic performance, we are awaiting his decision if he wants to stay or wants to move on,” said Solskjaer.
“A performance like today, we as a club have missed for a few years, we have not had that number nine for a long, long spell.
“Edinson has been working so hard to get fit and we can see the boys played to his strengths as well.
“We have had open and honest meetings and it’s no secret we want to keep him.”
Cavani took his tally to eight goals in 29 appearances for the club in a season marred by injuries.
He also served a three-match Football Association ban for using a racial term in a social media post and apologised for any unintentional offence caused.
However, Solskjaer says it has been the inability to travel and see family or for them to visit due to the coronavirus pandemic which has upset Cavani.
“I don’t think it is any secret that this has been a difficult year for everyone,” he said.
“With the pandemic, it has not been possible to have friends over, you can’t have family over without quarantine.
“He has not been able to experience the fantastic culture of Manchester and England and he is contemplating and thinking long and hard about what he wants to do.
“I understand. He knows what we want, I want him at Old Trafford in front of a full Stretford End scoring a header like today. Let’s wait and see.”
