Wolves striker Raul Jimenez fractured his skull in a clash of heads with Arsenal’s David Luiz in Sunday’s match his club said.

The 29-year-old Mexican international received treatment for 10 minutes on the pitch before being taken to hospital.

Wolves — who won the game 2-1 for their first win at Arsenal in 40 years — said he would remain under observation for a few days.

“Raul is comfortable following an operation last night, which he underwent in a London hospital,” read the club statement.

Published

on

A Greenpeace protest at Euro 2020 has gone horribly wrong after a person attempting to parachute above Munich’s Allianz Arena spiralled out of control and crash landed.

While trying to circle above the ground before France’s shown with Germany, the parachuting protester struck a Spidercam cable, which forced them to lose control and plummet towards the ground.

Footage from inside the stadium shows that the protester terrifyingly swooped towards the stands and narrowly avoided fans before crashing on the ground during the teams’ warm-ups.
