“BRILLIANT stop! One of the saves of the season.”
That was the commentator’s incredible react to David De Gea’s flat out ridiculous save against Sevilla to keep Manchester United level in their Champions League tie.
Except it wasn’t even the save of the morning, with the other UCL tie seeing a defender’s heroic act in the final minute of the match.
Goalkeeper De Gea added another heart-stopping save when he foiled striker Luis Muriel from point-blank range at the end of the first half.

That was one of eight saves in a morning where United held on to a 0-0 draw to take back to Old Trafford for the return leg.
But in Ukraine, Shakhtar Donetsk’s 2-1 win over Roma could come back to defender Bruno Peres’ dramatic goal line clearance in what was almost the final kick of the match.
Shakhtar’s goals from Facundo Ferreyra and Fred gave them a 2-1 win in freezing conditions, but Roma return back to the Italian capital with a crucial away goal and just a one goal deficit after Peres stretched and toe-poked a point blank shot over the bar in the 93rd minute.
A 3-1 result would have handed Shakhtar a huge second leg advantage, but instead the tie could be decided by Peres’ stop.
It came after the Serie A team appeared to be coasting in the round of 16 first leg tie when Cengiz Under put them ahead with his fifth goal in four games four minutes before half-time.
Yet as the temperature dipped towards minus nine Celsius, Argentine striker Ferreyra took advantage of poor Roma defending to score with an expertly-taken goal in the 52nd minute.
That turned the game on its head and it was no surprise when Brazilian midfielder Fred curled in a free kick off the underside of the crossbar to stun the visitors in the 71st minute.
Roma also had goalkeeper Alisson Becker to thank.
The hosts cut apart the Roma defence on multiple occasions in the second half, but Brazil keeper Alisson was on top form as he palmed away a shot from Marlos, before springing to his left to brilliantly claw behind Taison’s long-range effort.
But Fred put Shakhtar into the lead with a magnificent free-kick with 19 minutes to play.
His powerful left-footed shot from 20 yards out dipped viciously and flew into the back of the net off the underside of the crossbar for his first Champions League goal.
