NEW research has shown Aaron Mooy’s importance to Huddersfield Town’s Premier League survival, cementing him as the Terriers’ most important player.

The report, by Betstars details which player’s goal involvements have earned their Premier League team the most points this season.

The findings are based on the amount of times a player has contributed the winning or equalling goal or assist.

Mooy’s combined seven league goals and assists means he has singled-handedly earned Huddersfield six league points of their 27 earned this season.

That’s because three of Mooy’s goals or assists have been match winning for David Wagner’s side, putting him in the same list alongside the likes of Arsenal’s second most expensive ever signing (£52.7m, AU$93.6m) Alexandre Lacazette on six points earned.
